October 8, 2016. An Anodyne Coffee wedding in downtown Milwaukee. There’s something about going local. Steph & Jarek’s wedding was such a sweet, beautiful day, and I can’t help but think that a large part of it was due to their fantastically Milwaukee compilation of vendors. But before we get to that, I have to point out how awesome it was to work with these two. Steph & Jarek have a deep compassion for others, and a firey love for each other. They went through nursing school together, and now work passionately taking care of others’ wellbeing together. Knowing how important people like these two are for the rest of us, I went in to their wedding day determined to give them the best wedding photos possible. As it turned out, doing so was a breeze because of the awesomely authentic Anodyne Coffee wedding they put together. The day started at Park East Hotel on the east side of Milwaukee, and concluded with a rustic reception at Anodyne Coffee in Walker’s Point. In between, we made stops at the rooftop of Radio 88.9 and throughout Milwaukee’s Third Ward for some timeless urban shots. I’m obsessed with the rustic, modern, authentic style of this Anodyne Coffee wedding. I’m so grateful for the way these two encouraged me to stretch my creative wings and play with photography throughout the day. It resulted in some of my favorite shots in the most unique settings to date. Please enjoy.
