A Wisconsin Rooftop Wedding
Well, it’s official. Crazy wedding season has turned into crazy editing season. Fortunately, this week I’m able to catch up with a little blogging with this gorgeous Wisconsin rooftop Wedding. I love weddings at Monona Terrace because they all turn out so unique. Madison has a few gorgeous venues, but this one takes the cake for a Wisconsin rooftop wedding, hands-down. Peggy and Bob were so awesome to work with. They have a beautiful relationship, and their lively friends & family made for some awesome moment-grabs. And thanks to Julianne with Glitter and Twine Events, the schedule was seamless.
Wisconsin Rooftop Wedding in Madison
The wedding day began at a beautiful, historic Air B&B in the heart of downtown Madison. The giant windows created gorgeous getting-ready light. (Peggy is a talented photographer herself, so it’s no wonder there were so many beautiful photography locations throughout the day.) For this Wisconsin rooftop wedding, we opted for a first-look in the window-covered Monona Terrace sky walkway. Seriously, can gorgeous diffused-light get any more perfect? From there, we were off to all the best places in Madison to take wedding photos.
Although we had to dodge some goose-poop, we stole a beautiful view of the Madison skyline via Olin Park. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Madison wedding without photos at the State Capitol, either. Some of my favorite portraits from this Wisconsin rooftop wedding were actually taken around the corner of the Capitol, at a spot with beautiful theatrical lighting. Check it out — it looks more like a painting than a photo. I never tire of classic, timeless portraits like these.
Wisconsin Rooftop Wedding Ceremony
Wedding receptions seem to get all the attention these days. However, I think my favorite part about this day was the jaw-dropping ceremony. Seriously. Wedding guests and couples alike dream about rooftop weddings for good reason. They’re romantic, they’re scenic, and they create a private feel that just can’t be matched. However, this wedding venue is really special because of the view. Instead of overlooking the city or suburbs, this Wisconsin rooftop wedding ceremony overlooks beautiful Lake Monona. It was really smart of Peggy & Bob to plan their ceremony to take place as the sun was going down, too. The lighting is breathtaking. This Wisconsin rooftop wedding ceremony is sure to inspire many, many to come. Please enjoy.
